When You Look at the Big Picture You May See That What Felt Like Rejection Was Actually Protection

Friend,

There will be times when you’re expecting to hear yes but hear no instead, and there will be times when you’re wrongfully judged by people who don’t take the time to know you.

You will face rejection.

Your feelings will be hurt.

People you trust to fight for you will disappoint you.

The Bible is clear about this - offenses will happen. It comes with living in a broken, hurting world.

And I want to remind you that in those moments when your character is tested, you will always have a choice - to assume the worst, to give up your peace, to hold on to offenses, to retaliate, or to forgive and run as fast as you can into the presence of the One who always sees you…

Jesus said that while we’re in this world we’ll have trouble, but he also said to be encouraged because he’s overcome the world.

People see what they see through the lens of their own eyes and understanding, but God sees what’s in our hearts.

We have a choice to hold on to hurt or to run to the Healer.

We have a choice to trust that God knew everything we’d face and that he’s sovereign, all-powerful, perfectly capable, and willing to work it all out for our good.

What are you choosing today?
